We chatted with Yousuf Khan, a partner at Ridge Ventures, at the TechCon SoCal 2025 event. Yousuf has been covering enterprise software, legal tech, and cybersecurity as a VC. Our chat focused on getting his insights on the latest trends in these spaces and the role of advanced technologies, especially AI.

Like many other industries, the enterprise software industry is also being uplifted and uprooted due to AI. It has two parts: (1) How existing enterprise products can use AI in their operations and (2) How having AI as a product offering.

Yousaf has also been vocal about legal tech and how AI technologies can improve productivity in the legal industry. He elaborated on some specific examples along these lines. As a VC, he sees legal tech as a vast space poised for growth.

Yousuf has also been looking at the Cybersecurity space. While AI and other advanced technologies are being used for many good purposes, there are growing concerns that hackers could use the same technologies negatively. Hence, we need to double down on cybersecurity investments and innovations.
